Thanksgiving

  • Some of our former students have been very helpful in the reconstruction of our CPO/Outreach Career Center in Roseland. Their contributions of time and construction skills have been greatly appreciated. It is a real blessing for us to be at the receiving end of their faithfulness as they return and now help us out. The time and resources contributed to the career center by some of our supporters has been incredible. Without the support of everyone involved we could not possibly continue to move forward.

Prayer Requests

  • We are presently experiencing a very difficult economy. Needless to say this has impacted many of our supporters and therefore has impacted CPO. Please keep CPO in your prayers. We are absolutely confident of the good things God is growing here and we continue to look forward to God impacting and changing lives in very significant ways.

  • We presently have the largest carpentry class we have ever had. Many of our students are spending extra hours as they also come for extra tutoring which is supplied by our instructor Darleen. We're thankful that our students are taking this opportunity so seriously. We do ask you to pray for Darleeen. Because she is providing this extra time to our students and therefore spending more of her own time grading papers and preparing lesson plans.  In everything we do our desire is for God to be glorified and for His people to know his blessings in very real ways as they invest in themselves under God.

  • Continue to pray that we remain effective tools in God's hands at Cook County Jail. Lives that honor God are lives that demonstrate growth and change. Cycles of sin are broken when people come to an understanding of God's expectations and plans for our lives. We sometimes become discouraged, especially with minimum security detainees, when we see them time after time returning to the jail. We need to be reminded occasionally that we are participants under God but the final outcome is in His control.
